Alison Wonderland Is Optimistic About Her Live Show at Red Rocks

Last year brought an onslaught of postponed music festivals, concerts, and tours. When the short-term delays never panned out, music fans everywhere lost faith in the dependability of any newly advertised dates. But that was 2020. 2021 has brought back hope that currently promoted concert dates might actually come to fruition. Both the historic Colorado concert venue Red Rocks Amphitheater and renowned female producer/DJ Alison Wonderland have high hopes for live shows returning within the next few months.

Alison Wonderland is an Australian DJ, producer, and singer whose debut album “Run” was certified gold by ARIA in 2015. She is no stranger to the music festival circuit, having played Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Coachella, etc. Ms. Wonderland, whose real name is Alexandra Sholler, was scheduled to play the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on September 15th of 2020, but of course it was pushed until it was finally settled to take place exactly a year later on September 15th, 2021.

In a tweet published on February 25th, the DJ wrote, “I am feeling optimistic about my red rocks show this September”. With the progressing rollout of Covid vaccines, Alison has reason to feel this way. Red Rocks itself has given Alison and many other artists hope in looking toward the coming months. The venue has officially requested the state of Colorado’s permission to reopen this Spring. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued a now-public statement that live events should return in April at 50% capacity with 6-foot social distancing, then in May at 60% with distancing, and then in July at 80% with little to no distancing protocol.

This is Red Rocks’ exact hope – to have live shows with 80% capacity by summer 2021. And who knows, maybe 90 to 100% by Alison Wonderland’s scheduled performance on September 15th? Only time will tell, but it’s a safe bet to buy your tickets now.
